Waldbaums to Close, Robocom Systems Expands, More Updates

Robocom Systems Acquires Cambar Solutions:
Farmingdale's Robocom Systems announced early last week that the acquisition of Cambar Solutions has been completed. Cambar is a supply chain execution company based in Charleston, South Carolina that has grown to be successful over the last three decades. The recent acquisition is the second for Robocom since 2007, and the merger will be recognized as Robocom Systems International. The merger will also mean an additional location for the Farmingdale company in South Carolina.
Farmingdale Massage Parlor Among 14 Closed by Babylon Town:

Babylon worked with Suffolk County Police and the Quality of Life Taskforce to close the doors of 14 local massage parlors, one being in Farmingdale. The investigation started last year and carried on through the middle of February. The businesses violated building and fire codes.

A handful of Long Island A&P supermarkets are planning to close for good, including Waldbaums on Main Street in Farmingdale. Employees were given their 90-day notice last week. Former local Waldbaum's in Centereach and Levittown closed late last year due to financial difficulties.
