Whiskey Down Diner Receives $25K Grant From PSEG Long Island
PSEG LI's Main Street Revitalization Program offers financial incentives to local business owners.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Farmingdale's Whiskey Down Diner was awarded with a $25,000 economic development grant by PSEG Long Island from the company's Main Street Revitalization Program, PSEG announced.
The program offers financial incentives to local business owners for projects in a local business district that are expected to improve the economic stability and growth of a municipality. It encourages the economic vitality of a business community and optimizes the use of existing electric infrastructure.
Whiskey Down Diner, which opened last summer in downtown Farmingdale in the heart of Main Street, occupies space that had been a Chinese restaurant for decades and vacant since 2018. The owners’ plans included beautifying the outdoor space. With support from the Village, Whiskey Down created a courtyard adjacent to the restaurant. The courtyard includes outdoor seating and a walkway, which is expected to increase pedestrian traffic. Energy efficient day/night lighting was also installed to further increase visibility and safety.
