1 Dead, 1 Seriously Injured In Nassau Crash
Police say an 85-year-old man collided with a pickup truck, killing himself and injuring the other driver.
An elderly man was killed in a car crash in the Five Towns yesterday morning — the second person killed by a vehicle that day.
According to police, 85-year-old Bertram Wolf, of Floral Park, was driving a 2017 Mercedes Benz north on Peninsula Boulevard in Hewlett at 11:30 a.m. when he turned onto Harris Avenue and hit a 2014 Dodge Ram.
Wolf was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead by doctors. The driver of the truck, a 77-year-old man, was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
