2 Firearms Found In Car; Man Charged Also Had Open Warrants: Police

WOODMERE, NY — A man was taken into custody on Wednesday morning in Woodmere with two firearms in his vehicle, police said.

Rahson Dickerson, 25, of the Bronx, was arrested after Nassau police assisted NYPD Warrant officers, detectives said.

Officers recovered two guns and an imitation firearm from Dickerson's vehicle during the stop at West Broadway and Eastwood Road.

Dickerson is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a firearm and three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Police said he also had two open warrants, one for criminal possession of a weapon and one for robbery.

He will be arraigned on Thursday, according to police.
