Cops: Fake ID Used to Withdraw $39K from Hewlett Man's Bank Account
New York City man charged with grand larceny and identity theft of Five Towns victim, cops said.

A New York City man faces grand larceny charges for allegedly withdrawing thousands of dollars from a Five Towns man’s bank accounts, according to Nassau County Police.
In October, Dwight Brown, 48, masqueraded as a Hewlett man using a fake identification and withdrew more than $39,000 from the victim’s checking and savings accounts, cops said.
Brown was found Tuesday morning in his home and was taken into custody, cops said.

Brown was charged with seven counts of third-degree grand larceny and one count of first-degree identity theft. He was arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
