Cops: Man Fired Gun During Driveway Robbery in Five Towns
Nassau Police released sketch Thursday of a man they believe robbed a woman in her driveway in Inwood last month.

Nassau County Police released a sketch of a man they say robbed a woman at gunpoint and firing a round in her own driveway in the Five Towns last month.
Cops said the woman had pulled into her driveway on Mervin Street in Inwood at 7:52 p.m. Oct. 16 and got out of her car. A man, wielding a black semi-automatic hand gun, then approached her and tried to grab her pocketbook, police said.

As the victim began screaming for help, the man fired the gun, missing the victim, before running south on Alvin Place, cops said.
The subject is described as a black man, 20-30 years old, 160-180 pounds, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8, dark brown complexion, dark eyes, and had a low cut caesar haircut. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt at the time.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
