Gun Found In Man's Car During Traffic Stop In Elmont: Police

ELMONT, NY — A man was taken into custody Wednesday night in Elmont after a firearm was recovered during a traffic stop, police said.

Teandre Johnson, 21, of Queens, was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a firearm.

After Johnson was pulled over at the intersection of Elmont Road and Belmont Avenue just before 11 p.m., an investigation by officers discovered a black Smith and Wesson .40 caliber handgun in the vehicle.
