Man Bit Postal Employee After Botched Theft: Nassau Police
Police say the man was trying to purchase money orders with two different debit cards, and then attacked employees when he couldn't.

A Nassau man was arrested Friday morning after police say he attacked two postal employees after a burglary didn't pan out.
According to police, Matthew Delvalle, 24, of West Valley Stream Boulevard, Valley Stream, was in the Valley Stream Post Office just before noon on Friday. Police say he tried to purchase two money orders with a debit card that was declined. He then tried to purchase them again, but with a different debit card that had a different name, police say. That card was also declined.
When the postmaster was made aware of the situation, police say he took Delvalle's driver's license and both debit cards into a room to investigate. When that happened, police say Delvalle jumped over the counter and kicked and punched one of the employees, a 65-year-old man. He then attacked a second employee, police say, a 39-year-old man, punching and biting him.
