NORTH LAWRENCE, NY — A Bronx man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after police say he threatened a store employee who was trying to stop him from robbing the business.
According to police, Sekou Shutsha, 51, of Bruckner Boulevard, the Bronx, entered Lowes at 253-01 Rockaway Turnpike in North Lawrence at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police say he was seen by an employee placing multiple items under his clothes and then trying to leave the store with them.

Shutsha claimed he was a police officer and had a gun, police said, and continued to threaten the employee, as well as everyone in the store.
