Nassau Teen Charged With 10 Felonies After Police Find Drugs, Guns In His Bedroom: Cops

BREAKING: Police say they recovered more than 1,000 pills and more than a pound of marijuana from his room Tuesday.

A Nassau County teen faces 10 felony charges after police found a stash of drugs and weapons in his bedroom Tuesday evening, Nassau Police said.

According to detectives, 19-year-old Brian P. Napolitano, of Cedarhurst, intended to sell 100 pills that police believe to be alprazolam (Xanax) for cash around 5:20 p.m.

When Napolitano was arrested, 12 more pills believed to be alprazolam and benzodiazepine were also in his possession, police say. He was arrested without incident.

Upon searching his room at his home on Livingston Avenue, police say they recovered an additional 1,075 Xanax pills, one and a half pounds of marijuana, 26 units of concentrated cannabis, a loaded .22-caliber revolver and an unloaded 9mm handgun.

Napolitano is charged with five counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of criminal sale of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana and four counts of criminal possession of a firearm. He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Wednesday and remanded to jail. He will be back in court on Friday.
