Petition LIRR to construct Pedestrian walkway at the Woodmere Station

Petition LIRR to construct Pedestrian walkway overpass at the Woodmere Station.

Those who Live in Woodmere understands how difficult and Dangerous it is to cross from one side of the Long Island Rail Road tracks to the other with busy Traffic because the only passageways are located at Woodmere Boulevard and Prospect Ave – a nearly 0.5 mile distance. Currently the vehicle traffic and train traffic poses a risk of injury to pedestrians.

After being rebuffed by the MTA on several occasions because “there is no funding currently available in our Capital Plan or budget to proceed with consideration for such a project” A petition was created, below which I am hopeful can garner at least 1,000 signatures so that we can then share it with the LIRR and get the funds allocated.

We ask that you help Petition LIRR to construct Pedestrian walkway overpass at the Woodmere Station.
