Police Dog Sniffs Out Teen Who Ran From Arrest: Cops
Police say the teen ran after officers discovered the car he was driving was stolen.

A Queens teen was tracked down by a Nassau County police dog after he fled through multiple backyards in an attempt to hide from officers trying to arrest him, police said.
According to police, an officer saw a 1998 Lexus GS400 on Merrick Road driving without its lights on near Ormonde Boulevard in Valley Stream at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday.
The officer tried to pull the car over, but police say the driver, Matthew Felix, 17, of Rosedale, initially refused. Eventually, Felix pulled over on 135th Avenue at the intersection of 246th Street in Rosedale.

During a brief investigation, the officer determined that the car had been stolen on Oct. 16. Police say the officer attempted to place Felix under arrest, but he fled the officer and ran through multiple yards in the area.
Police could not find him, so a K-9 officer and his dog, Doyle, responded to the scene. Police say Doyle eventually found Felix hiding in the backyard of a home on 246th Street. He was placed under arrest.
