Road Closures Announced for LI Marathon
Marathon will affect roads Saturday and Sunday.

Nassau County Police announced multiple road closures ahead of this weekend’s Long Island Marathon.
Road closures are set to affect predominantly South Shore areas and multiple parkways, police said.
Closure times are approximate, as roads may close earlier and remain shut longer than expected as races progress.

A 1-mile race and a 5K race will begin at 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., respectively, on Saturday. Sunday will host the full, half, and 10K races beginning at 8 a.m.

Closures are as follows:
Saturday
- 5-10 a.m. Charles Lindbergh Boulevard from Merrick Avenue to Earle Ovington Boulevard
- 7:30-10 a.m. Remainder of Charles Lindbergh Boulevard
- 8-10 a.m. Earle Ovington Boulevard
- 7:30-10 a.m. Quentin Roosevelt Boulevard south of Commercial Avenue
- Other Closures: Meadowbrook Parkway exits and entrances to and from Charles Lindbergh Blvd. (Nassau Coliseum, Nassau Community College) and Eisenhower Park exits will be closed from 7:45-10:00 a.m.
Sunday
- 5 a.m.-10 a.m. Charles Lindbergh Boulevard from Merrick Avenue to Earle Ovington Boulevard
- 7:15 a.m.-10 a.m. Remainder of Charles Lindbergh Boulevard
- 7:30-10 a.m. Merrick Avenue north of Hempstead Turnpike
- 7:40-10 a.m. Old Country Road from Post Avenue to School Street, School Street from Old Country Road to Railroad Avenue
- 7:50-10:30 a.m. Salisbury Park Drive, Railroad Avenue, Post Avenue from Railroad Avenue to Jericho Turnpike
- 7:50-11 a.m. Jericho Turnpike from Post Avenue to Brush Hollow Road. Westbound side will remain open.
- 7:50-11:30 a.m. Brush Hollow Road north of Wantagh Parkway
- 7:50 a.m.-2 p.m. Carman Avenue from Old Country Road to Nottingham Road
- 7:50 a.m.-3 p.m. Wantagh Parkway
