A fight about a parking lot spot escalated into an assault in Valley Stream Sunday afternoon, according to Nassau County Police.
At 1:30 p.m., a 49-year-old woman was trying to park her car at Green Acres Mall when she saw a man standing in a spot, apparently holding it for someone else, cops said.

The victim parked in another spot before walking past the original spot, where she began arguing with another woman, police said. The argument escalated into a physical fight and the victim was eventually thrown to the ground, cops said.
The victim suffered minor injuries after being “punched in the face and head area” by the woman, police said.
The disturbing incident was caught on a cellphone camera and then posted online. While holding a young child, a man who identifies himself as the attacker’s husband is seen in the video encouraging his wife to “bust her face.”
No arrests have been made. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
