ELMONT, NY — Police are investigating a shooting in Elmont on Tuesday afternoon. It happened just before 1 p.m. on Linden Boulevard near 231st Street, Nassau police said.

Photos show officers cordoning off the area as a crime scene, while police dogs were used to assist in the investigation.

Police had no other information about the incident at this time.
