Stolen Car Crashes Into Tree, Gun Found In Vehicle: Police
Two people were arrested, including a minor, in connection to the early Tuesday morning incident, police say.

NORTH LAWRENCE, NY — Two people were arrested early Tuesday in connection to a serious car accident near the Five Towns Shopping Center.
Police received a call regarding speeding cars after 2 a.m. However, when officers arrived the vehicles were gone, but they were notified of a serious crash nearby on Rockaway Boulevard. A vehicle hit a tree.
As police arrived, they saw multiple men attempting to flee. But two men were arrested without incident, police said.

An investigation revealed the vehicle that struck the tree was an unoccupied stolen Honda Pilot. Located inside the car's floorboard was what appeared to be a black handgun, later revealed to be a BB gun, detectives said.
Julius Mosley, 22, of Far Rockaway and a 17-year-old male from Queens were taken into custody, police said.

They were each charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property and third-degree unlawful use of a vehicle.
Mosley was expected to be arraigned on Wednesday, while the juvenile will be in the youth part of the First District Court in Hempstead.
