Valley Stream Convenience Store Robbed At Gunpoint
No one was injured in the robbery Sunday night.
VALLEY STREAM, NY — Nassau County Police are seeking information about a robbery that took place Sunday night in which a convenience store clerk was held up at gunpoint and escaped with an unknown amount of money.
Police say that the suspect approached the register of thee Express C-Store at 749 W. Merrick Road in Valley Stream just before 7:30 p.m. to purchase a can of soda. While at the register, the suspect, who was described as 6 feet tall and slender, pulled out a gun and demanded the clerk hand over the cash from the register. The man then left the store and went east on Merrick Road, police said.
The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and white mask and black sneakers. No one was injured in the robbery. Detectives are requesting that anyone with information about the incident call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. Callers may remain anonymous.
