🌱 Teenage Girl Killed By Drunk Driver In Woodmere

A teenage girl was killed by a drunk driver in Woodmere. Two arrests were made in a fatal Baldwin shooting from October.

Here are the top four stories today in Five Towns:

  1. A 15-year-old girl was killed and a 38-year-old woman is in critical condition after a crash in Woodmere involving a drunk driver. It happened at the intersection of Peninsula Boulevard and Edward Avenue on Saturday night. Arlin Javier Aguilera was arrested. (Patch)
  2. Two arrests were made in a fatal shooting in Baldwin. Freeport resident Darin Semple and Queens resident Devin Obleanis have been charged with the murder and robbery of Rafael DeLossantos, found on a sidewalk in October. (News 12)
  3. Saturday night's gusts of wind toppled some trees in Nassau County like one next to a bedroom in East Massapequa but no injuries were reported. (News 12)
  4. There is a contested race for Woodmere Fire District Commissioner, the only contested on in the Five Towns. Michael Beer is challenging incumbent Melanie Kail. The election is on Dec. 14. (Patch)
