Woman Acting Erratic At Nassau Shop, Bites Officer: Police

VALLEY STREAM, NY — A woman was arrested Tuesday night for an altercation at a Valley Stream store.

When officers arrived at the 24/7 Mart on West Sunrise Highway, Christine Rogers, 35, of Valley Stream, was seen acting erratically, police said.

Rogers refused to comply with the officer's order and attempted to slam her head against the store glass, police said.

A Nassau County Police Department ambulance was called to the shop. As officers placed her on the stretcher she bit an officer on the forearm, police said.

Rogers and the injured officer were taken to area hospitals. She is charged with second-degree assault and was expected to be arraigned on Wednesday.
