Woman Caught Stealing Tires From Cars: Nassau Police
Police say she and another person were caught red-handed as they were stealing ties and rims from cars.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — A Queens woman was arrested early Thursday after she and another person were caught stealing the tires off of cars, Nassau Police said. Her partner is still at large.
According to police, officers received a 911 call for two people stealing tires and rims from cars on Frank Street in Valley Stream at 3:27 a.m. Thursday. When the officers arrived, police say they saw two people running from a white Honda Accord that was lifted up on floor jacks with its tires removed.
Police apprehended Ashley Suarez, 29, of 102 Avenue a short distance away and placed her under arrest. Police are still searching for the other person.

An investigation at the scene found a car near the Honda with four tires and rims in the rear seat.
Suarez is charged with third-degree grand larceny, third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree auto stripping and possession of burglar tools. She is scheduled to be arraigned today in First District Court in Hempstead.
