Woman Tried To Rob Nassau Burger King Drive-Through At Gunpoint

Police say she demanded money, but then fled before she got any cash.

LAWRENCE, NY — A woman tried to rob a Burger King drive-through at gunpoint Thursday night, and Nassau County Police are searching for her.

According to police, a woman walked up to the drive-through window of the Burger King at 665 Rockaway Turnpike in Lawrence at 11:43 p.m. She pointed a gun at the employee at the window and demanded cash. Police say she then fled without money, possibly in an older-model four-door sedan, which went south on Rockaway Turnpike.

The woman was black, five feet, five inches tall, about 30 years old and 200 pounds. She was wearing a scarf over her face.
