The victim of ain Forest Hills has succumbed to his injuries, police said late Thursday.

Dominik Winnick, 33, was hospitalized in extremely critical condition late last week after being struck by two cars while crossing 108th Street at 63rd Road. The Forest Hills High School alumnus was struck at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night, allegedly by Avraham Mullokandov, a 17-year-old Rego Park resident.

Police arrested Mullokandov hours after the accident and charged him with vehicular assault, leaving the scene of an incident and driving with a restricted license.

A determination has not yet been made whether to update the charges to reflect Winnick's death.

The accident was the second in less than ten days along 63rd Road in dark conditions. 112th Precinct Council President Heidi Chain said that police are remaining vigilant in their traffic enforcement, especially during a time of year when traffic is increased in shopping areas like the one where Winnick was injured.

"Police are going to be Chain said. "Hopefully, with that enforcement, we're not dealing with increased traffic problems and increased accidents."

Chain noted, as well, that in communities close to malls and large shopping areas, traffic will inevitably climb during the busy holiday shopping season.
