MTA Conductor Punched For Giving Directions At Dekalb Station
A man asked for directions, then punched and threw a lit cigarette at the conductor when she said he was on the wrong platform, police said.

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — A man asked a train conductor for directions and then assaulted her when she told him he was on the wrong platform, police said.
The man came up to the MTA conductor's window as her southbound D train pulled into Dekalb Avenue station around 7:20 a.m. on Aug. 10, police said. He asked her for directions and the 33-year-old conductor explained that the man was on the wrong platform and he needed to go to the other side.
The man became upset and punched the conductor through the window, police said. He then flicked his lit cigarette at her and ran away, police said.

The conductor was taken to the hospital and treated for bruising on her shoulder.
Police said the man was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black baseball cap, cargo shorts and black sneakers.
