CLINTON HILL, BROOKLYN — A 65-year old man is in serious condition after he was violently robbed at the Clinton/Washington avenues station earlier this month, police said.
The robbery happened just before 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1 as the man was walking down the staircase to the mezzanine at the A/C subway station, police said. One of two suspects punched the 65-year-old in the back of the head, causing him to tumble down the staircase and land on the station floor unconscious.
Once the man landed on the floor, the man who punched him and another man he was with, took the 65-year-old's backpack. The backpack had his wallet, headphones, watch, cell phone and Bluetooth speakers inside, police said.
