Summer heat can be dangerous for our four-legged family members. 🐶☀️
A few signs your dog may be overheating:
• Excessive panting
• Bright red or pale gums
• Thick drool
• Weakness or stumbling
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Confusion or acting unusually tired
Help keep your pup safe:
🐾 Walk early in the morning or after the sun goes down.
🐾 Always provide fresh, cool water.
🐾 Never leave your dog in a parked car—not even for a few minutes.
🐾 Test the pavement with the back of your hand for 7 seconds. If it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws.
🐾 Give them plenty of shade and time to cool down.
If your dog shows signs of heatstroke, move them to a cool area, offer small amounts of water, use cool (not ice-cold) water to lower their body temperature, and contact your veterinarian immediately.
While you're keeping your pup cool, let Maid to Scoop take care of the dirty work! A clean yard means more time to enjoy summer safely with your best friend. 💩❤️
