District announces decision after blizzard strikes the region.
UPDATE: Garden City Public Schools will be closed Monday following a blizzard that dumped more than two feet of snow across Long Island, district officials have announced.
Here’s the message posted on the district’s website:
Due to the extensive clean-up required after yesterday’s storm, GCPS will be closed tomorrow, Monday, 1/25/16. Thank you and stay safe.
