After School Activities Canceled Across The South Shore

With the nor'easter bringing heavy winds and rain to Long Island starting this afternoon, schools across the area have canceled extra-curricular activities.

The storm is expected to be dangerous, and people are advised to keep off the roads. You can read more about the storm here.

Here are the South Shore school districts that have canceled afternoon and/or evening activities:

• Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District (middle school and high school)
• Freeport School District
• Island Park School District
• Maria Regina Religious Education, Seaford
• Rockville Centre School District
• Seaford School District
• St. Agnes Cathedral School, Rockville Centre
• Wantagh School District
• Nassau BOCES Schools

In addition, many churches and synagogues in the area have canceled their afternoon and evening reliigous education classes. If you're unsure if your school or local organization is having activities this afternoon, give them a call.
