Adelphi University Elects Ronald B. Lee ’67 to its Board of Trustees

Adelphi University is pleased to announce that alumnus Ronald B. Lee ’67, founder and partner of Lee-Nolan Associates, LLC (retired), has been elected to the Board of Trustees.  Mr. Lee previously served as a member of the Adelphi President’s Advisory Group since 2008 and participated in the Office of Alumni Relations C.O.A.C.H. Program (Count on Alumni for Career Help) to provide industry and career information to current students.

While at Lee-Nolan Associates, LLC, one of the largest insurance, estate, and financial planning firms in the New York/New Jersey area, he won numerous accolades for outstanding performance and excellence. Mr. Lee earned both the Chartered Life Underwriter and the Chartered Financial Consultant designations from the American College, Bryn Mawr, PA.  He is a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table, and a Master Agency Award recipient from GAMA International.

“It was an honor to serve on the President’s Advisory Group and I look forward to working with other Trustees to continue to support my alma mater,” said Mr. Lee.

“Ronald Lee’s outstanding leadership and dedication to Adelphi is invaluable,” said Adelphi University Board of Trustees Chairman Thomas F. Motamed ’71. “It is a privilege to have him join the Adelphi Board at this remarkable time of growth and success at the University.”

Mr. Lee began his insurance career in 1971 with the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company. Three years later, he became a sales manager and was awarded the company’s Builder Award for sales management. In 1991, the firm switched affiliations and joined the Mass Mutual Financial Group. An agency of the Mass Mutual Financial Group, Lee-Nolan Associates, LLC with offices in Manhattan, Garden City, and Little Falls, NJ, specializes in life and health insurance, as well as investment product solutions and has nearly 150 employees.

In addition to his role at Adelphi, he serves on the board of Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education (LIFE), a non-profit organization based in Arlington, VA.

Mr. Lee received his B.A. degree in political science from Adelphi University in 1967. He and his wife, Jo-Ann, have homes in Manhattan and New Milford, CT. They have two daughters and three grandchildren and are active in several charitable endeavors.
