Garden City Community Church Welcomes New Church School Administrators

The Garden City Community Church is pleased to announce that they have hired interim positions to better support its Christian Education needs.  Paula Tusiani-Eng will be the Interim Church School Director, coordinating the Church School Programs crib room through 7th grade and Rhonda Kraff will be the Interim Administrative Assistant for Christian Education, supporting all areas pertaining to Church School, Confirmation, Youth Programs and other BCE related programs.

Paula comes to GCCC with extensive experience. She received her B.A. in Political Science from College of the Holy Cross in 1995. Paula received her Master's in Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in 2001. Currently, Paula is pursuing a Master's in Social Work at Adelphi University.  Previously, she served as a pastoral associate for youth and faith formation at a Catholic parish on Long Island from 2000 to 2004.

Paula has been an integral part of our Church School providing teachers with weekly biblical and theological background information. She co-led Vacation Bible School with Christine Hanson and has been a regular Church School teacher.  Paula and her husband, Roger are church members and have four children, Samantha, Matthew, Michael and Sarah.

Rhonda’s gift of organization has served the GCCC in the past, working with Ian Rottenberg, Cheri Kroon and Reverend Jane Huber coordinating all the correspondence and communication for the Confirmation and Youth Programs.  This extended role is a perfect fit.  Rhonda attended the University of Georgia.  Rhonda, Greg and Allyson have been members since 2001.

"We feel this team will enhance the programs sponsored by the Board of Christian Education.  Paula and Rhonda bring a professionalism and commitment to the Church School and Youth Programs that will help us remain a welcoming place for people to migrate to," remarked Reverend Lynn Sullivan, Associate Minister.

Paula and Rhonda will report to Reverend Sullivan.  Lynn will teach and coordinate the Confirmation I Class this fall and is working closely with the Board of Christian Education and their gifted team of volunteers for all the Church School and Youth programs.
