The Music Academy of Garden City is pleased to announce jazz saxophonist Benny Reid as their newest faculty member! Mr. Reid is a Concord Records Recording Artist and endorser of Selmer Saxophones, Vandoren and AMT Microphones. He has played with numerous acclaimed musicians and bands including Frankie Valli, Bon Jovi, Fergie, The Temptations, Buddy Rich Band, and the Chico O’Farril Band, among others. He currently leads his own group around the world and has released two albums on the Concord label to critical acclaim. Mr. Reid began playing saxophone at an early age, and later attended Indiana University, where he came under the tutelage of jazz educators David Baker and Tom Walsh, and received his degree in music.
