The Firehouse Plaza Art Gallery is proud to collaborate with the Latin American Studies Project, with Professor Rick J. Santos, Ph.D as Curator.
The name of this exciting exhibit is called “BODIES IN TRANSIT” with featured contemporary Brazilian artists Alex Ferro, Mary Dutra, Valeria Veiga, and Wilton Garcia. The exhibit continues across the “plaza” at the A. Holly Patterson Library, host to Alex Ferro’s digital images. This exhibit was made possible through the Latino Americans grant. The Latino Americans: 500 Years of History, is a public programming initiative produced by the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the American Library Association.

The exhibit will be open until October 15th with the Artists’ Reception on Thursday, September 24th from 5:00pm - 7:00 pm.
