Friends of the Library Sponsor FREE Lecture: The Wonders of Colors

Friends of the Garden City Public Library will present a FREE lecture "The Wonders of Colors" with Professor Kathryn Stanley Podwall on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Garden City Public Library located at 60 Seventh St., Garden City, NY. Discover the amazing psychological and physiological reactions to the rainbow of colors. This public program is funded by the Friends of the Garden City Public Library. Gain fascinating insights such as: which colors are "power colors," what color diningware may help to reduce eating, and what a favorite color "tells" about a person.

Garden City resident Kathryn Stanley Podwall is a Professor of Biology at Nassau Community College. Her honors include the Soroptimist International of Nassau County President's Award and inclusion in Who's Who in America. She holds membership in many organizations, including The New York Academy of Sciences, and life membership in the National Association of Science Teachers, the American Society of Mammalogists, and the American Institute of Biological Sciences.
