Garden City HS Student Honored As Emerging Business Leader

Garden City High School student Ryan Padalla recently earned two prestigious honors for his business acumen.

Padalla was named one of 30 Long Island students who won first place in the 17th annual Emerging Leaders Business Competition. He was among 300 students from 17 high schools across Long Island who used their understanding of business to address given tasks and current issues in 17 categories ranging from sports and entertainment marketing to interview life skills. Padalla successfully interviewed for a philanthropic position to win his first-place award.

The 17th Annual Emerging Leaders Business Competition was held at St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue and was hosted by the Huntington Chamber of Commerce.

Additionally, Padalla won second place in the public-speaking category of the Future Business Leaders of America Long Island regional competition. He will attend the FBLA state leadership conference to be held in Rochester, New York this April.
