GARDEN CITY, NY — The results are in, and the Garden City School District's budget passed.

The vote was 3,245 to 1,360 in favor of the spending plan.

Voters also approved proposition 2, which allows for the spending of money from the district's Capital Reserve Fund, 3,373 to 999.

Board of Education Trustee Matthew Wakeham ran unopposed and received 3,718 votes.

All of the votes were cast by absentee ballot this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
