Man Banned From Mall Arrested For Stealing Over $10,000 Worth of Merchandise: Cops
The man was caught by officers who knew he had been banned from the mall for previous larcenies, police say.

EAST GARDEN CITY, NY - A Hempstead man previously banned from Roosevelt Field Mall was arrested recently for stealing a total of $10,000 worth of merchandise from several kiosks and stores between May and June, according to Nassau Police.
Henry Cabezas, 50, entered the Perfume Point kiosk at the mall on 630 Old Country Road after it was closed on Sunday, May 29 and stole over $6,000 worth of merchandise, police said.
He was also identified on five additional larceny cases between May 30 and June 6 from Microsoft, Solstice, Sunglass Hut and Davis Vision, each having over $1,000 worth of merchandise taken.

On Friday, June 10, while on routine foot patrol at the mall, police officers saw Cabezas exiting a store.
The officers, who knew that he had been banned from the mall because of previous larcenies, stopped Cabezas and placed him under arrest, police said.

He is being charged with five counts of third degree burglary, six counts of fourth degree grand larceny, police said.
