Man Injured In Nassau Hit-And-Run

The man was hit while in front of a Town of Hempstead municipal building. Police are seeking the public's help to find the driver.

Nassau police are searching for the driver of a car that hit a pedestrian in Hempstead Thursday night and didn't stop.

According to police, a 43-year-old man was hit by a car in front of 200 Franklin Ave. at 11:20 p.m. Police say the driver fled without stopping. The address is a Hempstead Town municipal building.

The man sustained multiple injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police did not release a description of the driver or the car.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stopper at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
