Man Shot Near Hofstra Campus

A man was shot just a few blocks from the Hofstra University Law School Thursday night, police said. However, the man was not a student, and there appeared to be no threat to the school.

According to News 12, the man, who was in his 20s, was shot around 10 p.m. on Broadfield Road in Hempstead. He was not killed.

Newsday reported that the man was shot in the back while entering his home. The Hofstra Chronicle was told by police that it was a targeted shooting.
