She told police a man grabbed her 1-year-old son from his stroller and threw him to the ground, but police say it was all made up.

HEMPSTEAD, NY – A 23-year-old Nassau woman told police a dramatic story about a man jumping in front of her child's stroller, grabbing the 1-year-old and then throwing the toddler to the ground earlier this week, but now Nassau Police say the story was all made up.
Jeymi Guerra Cordova is charged with making a punishable false written statement, a misdemeanor.
Cordova told police that a man tried to kidnap her toddler on Fulton Avenue around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday. She claimed she struggled with the man and he threw the toddler to the ground, causing scrapes on his face and a large cut on his forehead, police said.

But when Third Squad detectives re-interviewed Cordova, she admitted that she had fabricated the story to cover up the fact that her son was unrestrained in his stroller and fell out, police said.
