Maurer Foundation's Pink Diamond Gala

THE MAURER FOUNDATION MARKS THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF THEIR PINK DIAMOND FUNDRAISER

Hauppauge, NY, September, 2014 – The Maurer Foundation for Breast Health Education is proud to mark the 10th anniversary of its Pink Diamond fundraiser on October 9th at the Carltun in Eisenhower Park, East Meadow. Funds raised at this year’s Pink Diamond Gala will support the Long Island-based non-profit organization’s breast health education mission.

The event honors Mr. Thomas Poole, Chairman of Hallen Construction Company, Inc; and his son, Mr. Shepard Poole, President and CEO of Hallen, for their unyielding support of the foundation through the years. Dr. Eva Chalas, Director of Clinical Cancer Services and Vice-Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Winthrop University Hospital, will also be honored for her tireless work on women’s health issues here on Long Island.

The event is chaired by Mr. & Mrs. Edward Travaglianti, who are renowned for their philanthropic activities and using their resources to benefit communities on Long Island. Mr. Travaglianti is former chairman of The Maurer Foundation and is currently Market President of TD Bank on Long Island.
