A Hempstead man was arrested Sunday night after police say he was pulled over for driving drunk and officers found he had his three children in the car.
According to police, David Ineriano Trinidad, 42, of Hempstead, was driving a 2003 Nissan south on Franklin Avenue just before 10 p.m. while swerving between lanes. Officers pulled the car over, police said, and arrested Trinidad.
Police say Trinidad had his three children -- ages 15, 14 and 8 -- in the car, and none of the children were wearing seat belts. The children were released into the custody of their mother.
