New Farmers Market For Garden City
The village welcomes a weekly farmers market at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Stewart Avenue.
Farm fresh, handmade and natural products just got a little closer.
A new farmers market will be held every Thursday from 2-7 p.m. through Sept. 29 at the Unitarian Universalist Church at 223 Stewart Avenue at the corner of Stewart Avenue and Nassau Boulevard.
This market is in addition to the farmers market held on Tuesdays at 101 County Seat Drive in the Supreme Court Building parking lot.

Buoyed by the success of a winter farmers market, Jaime Greci of G & G Farmer’s Market Long Island was prompted to continue the market this summer. G & G also runs markets in Bayville and Amityville.
“We attracted large crowds at our winter farmers market at the Universalist Church location last year,” said Greci, whose brother sells artisan breads. “I noticed that the area was lacking a winter market, so I contacted the church and encouraged vendors to participate. It was so successful, we’re trying our hand at this now. We encourage the community to come on out and try us. The market is offering wonderful unique products.”
