NYDJ Comes to Long Island
Creator of the Original Slimming Fit Opens First Stand-Alone Retail Locations in New York and Arizona
NYDJ, the top-selling denim brand in department stores, comes to New York as the brand opens one of their first stand-alone retail locations at Roosevelt Field in Garden City on July 21.
The 1,500 square-foot store, which features an entirely mobile point-of-sale system, will offer NYDJ’s full collection of denim, pants, tops, and jackets. With over 50 sizes across women’s, petite, and plus – there’s a pair to fit and flatter every woman. In addition to NYDJ styles, the store will carry a selection of luxury basic t-shirts from Road22, an organization that employs formerly incarcerated women and gives them a fresh start.

Designed to be the ultimate denim fit destination for guests, the store offers organized displays that make shopping easy. Residential in feel, the store was designed in partnership with NYC-based firm Kramer Design Group and utilizes a sophisticated and soothing neutral color palette with lavender and gray accents. A central denim table inspired by a home’s kitchen island serves as the store’s focal point and is a key area for discovery and education. The fitting rooms are feminine, plush and spacious with a boudoir-meets-living room aesthetic and offer a comfortable environment for women to experience the brand.
"We are very excited about the opportunity to interact more closely with our consumer as we open our first NYDJ retail stores," said Lisa Collier, President & CEO of NYDJ. "Our mission is to take the anxiety out of shopping for jeans by providing a beautiful and relaxing environment centered around service, styling, and a phenomenal fit. We know that once she tries on the jeans and experiences NYDJ's signature blend of fit, comfort, and style, she's hooked."

In celebration of the opening, through July 24, NYDJ will donate one item of clothing per pair of jeans tried on in-store to Hour Children, an organization focused on providing practical, comprehensive services to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women and their families, in partnership with K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers.
The Long Island store is the first of two NYDJ stores to open in the United States this year, the other location opens at Fashion Square Mall in Scottsdale, AZ on July 28.
