Sands Signs Deal To Bring Top Spa/Fitness Brand To Nassau

The state hasn't decided if the Las Vegas Sands will be awarded a gaming license for its multi-billion dollar hotel/casino project.

UNIONDALE, NY — While the Las Vegas Sands' deal to bring a luxury hotel and casino to Nassau County is in a holding pattern, waiting to see if the state grants them a gaming license, the Sands is not sitting idly by.

The Sands signed an agreement with Canyon Ranch to develop a signature spa on the proposed Sands New York location at the Nassau Hub.

Canyon Ranch, a top wellness service provider, would add another major attraction to visitors to the Sands in Nassau County.

[It] puts Long Island on [the] short list of the most sought after wellness destinations in the world," Robert Goldstein, chairman and chief executive officer at Sands, said. "This offering further entrenches on our strategy to build Long Island into a global tourism destination that creates a lift for the community’s entire hospitality industry."

Established more than four decades ago, Canyon Ranch offers amenities that include luxury spa services, state-of-the-art fitness and expert wellness practitioners who provide coaching and guidance. They are also known for indulgent, healthful food options with a spotlight on local produce and seasonal specialties.
