The St. Paul’s Conservancy was established in 2006 to preserve St. Paul’s School, an irreplaceable historic landmark. Historic buildings such as St. Paul’s are more than structures — they are part of a community’s identity and heritage. Once lost, they cannot be recreated. The St. Paul’s Conservancy exists to ensure this landmark continues to serve a purpose: honoring the past, supporting present-day community needs, and creating opportunities for the future.
Pulitzer Prize winner, author, and architecture critic Paul Goldberger has said, “St. Paul’s School is far more than a landmark in Garden City – it is one of the greatest works of the Gothic Revival in the United States along with the Cathedral of the Incarnation.”
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1978, the 19th-century masterpiece is an architectural icon and sits in the heart of Garden City. The St. Paul’s Conservancy is pleased to be working alongside The Garden City Historical Society (TGCHS) to preserve this significant piece of our shared history. Several prominent Garden City residents have also stepped up to support the Conservancy.
