Teen Truth Live: Drugs and Alcohol

You don’t want to miss TEEN TRUTH LIVE: DRUGS & ALCOHOL, America’s premier student assembly experience for parents and caregivers of high school and middle school students.

The interactive, multi-media assembly presentation will address social issues that can lead teenagers to use drugs and alcohol and serious consequences that result from alcohol and drug use and will promote parent and child discussion about substance use prevention.

The assembly will be held in the high school auditorium beginning at 7 p.m. Oct. 11.

Many school communities across Long Island have experienced both the student and parent assembly programs and describe them as powerful, unforgettable and impacting.

Students in grades 9-12 will attend an in-school assembly on Friday, Oct. 12. Through storytelling, humor, real world examples and audience participation, the speaker intends to educate students about the dangerous consequences of drugs and alcohol, motivate them to think before using and empower them to take an active role in preventing drug and alcohol use from occurring in their community.

This event is sponsored by the Garden City Community Coalition, PTA and the Garden City School District.
