Uniondale School District Students Celebrate Healthy Living and Respectful Habits

The Uniondale School District’s Smith Street Elementary School recently participated in a school wide “Respect Day.” Students in grades K-5, were exposed to a variety of ways they can develop a healthy mind, body and an overall respectful lifestyle. Throughout the day, students participated in age-appropriate lessons that focused on healthy eating habits, productive study techniques, good communications skills and fitness-boosting activities.

Respect Day is part of Smith Street Elementary School’s commitment to providing students with a comprehensive character education in addition to an academic one.
