3 Men Rescued From Capsized Boat in Glen Cove Waters

Authorities found the men in the water clinging to the hull of the boat Friday morning.

Three men holding on to the bottom of a capsized boat were rescued from Glen Cove waters Friday morning, police say.

Nassau County Police received a 911 call where the caller said his boat was sinking with three people on board near Matinecock Point before the line was disconnected at around 9:27 a.m.

Members of NCPD marine 1 responded and located the capsized 20-foot Proliner with the three men in the water clinging to the hull, police say.

The responding crew rescued the men, ages 28, 35, and 43, from the water and transported them to Garvey Point Marina where they were met by ambulances from Glen Cove Fire Department.

No injuries were reported.
