The Glen Cove Board of Education honored New York State Senator Carl Marcellino in October for securing $200,000 in state funding to install an elevator at .
Sen. Marcellino was presented with a certificate of appreciation for his commitment to the district's children, according to a news release. In turn, the board was commended by the senator for their "volunteerism to the community."
