County Funding for Sea Cliff Arts Council
A $6,500 grant will assist with promotional efforts and a membership campaign.
(SEA CLIFF, N.Y.) - To promote the continued growth of tourism and culture in Sea Cliff and its neighboring communities, Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D – Glen Cove) secured approval of a $6,500 Hotel and Motel Occupancy Fund Tax grant for the Sea Cliff Arts Council.
The funds, which were approved by a unanimous vote of the full Nassau County Legislature on Monday, March 20, will be utilized by the Council to assist with promotional efforts and its membership program campaign.
The Sea Cliff Arts Council offers classes and workshops designed to promote artistry and wellness and hosts an array of events featuring a variety of musical and performing artists and authors. By blending art, culture, and community, the organization hopes to inspire its patrons and the public to embark upon a multimedia journey of discovery and creativity. In recognition of Women’s History Month, a current exhibit features and celebrates women all over the world.

As the organization continues to grow and expand its programming, the Sea Cliff Arts Council remains focused on sustainability and outreach consistent with their understanding of the importance of elevating and serving the community.
“The Sea Cliff Arts Council is a wonderful and important organization that enriches the community of Sea Cliff and all of our lives through its diversified and engaging programming,” Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton said. “I thank my colleagues for approving this grant and continuing our support for the arts in Nassau County.”
