Glen Cove Students Present Research at Diversity Summit

The students presented projects that were created in collaboration with NYIT Science Technology Entry Program (STEP).

Glen Cove High School students recently participated in the fifth annual STEM/STEAM Diversity Summit at Farmingdale State College.

Nine Glen Cove students submitted projects and five of those students attended the summit.

The students presented projects that were created in collaboration with NYIT Science Technology Entry Program (STEP). They researched topics, developed and tested hypotheses and presented their findings at the summit.

The focus of the conference was to celebrate diversity and excellence and to promote STEM/STEAM education through active learning.

Over 20 faculty members of the Glen Cove City School District attended the conference for professional development and learning.
